20 years ago, at the very tip of New Zealand’s South Island, the sun is slowly setting on a mild Spring evening, a young boy helps his father plant the last root stock of the area’s very first vineyard.

This boy grows up absorbing his father’s winemaking wisdom and natural curiosity.

As a young man, he travels the world to hone his skills in prestigious winery after prestigious winery. Once he feels he has mastered his craft he returns home to pick up where his father left off.

This winemaker is Michael Glover and he is making waves.  Hotelier, philanthropist and renowned art collector Glenn Schaeffer, has given Glover free reign to apply his master skills to a new generation of wine.

Banjo says: This wine is full of green melon and nectarine flavours, with a light smokiness adding intrigue. It has a fantastic texture, almost slippery, and is an exciting premier for this vineyard. Very delicious.

Sauvignon Blanc (of Sav Blanc as Many call it!) Needs no introduction. Well at least in Australia. In our climate, it's popular for a reason.

The pairings
